- Sky factory 4 pipes reddit Cyclic pipes are nice, but in my experience, they are the least configurable. Generally, the FTB part gets dropped from the name; like Direwolf20 1. Thank you! Reply reply If you‘rein sky factory 4 and importing from a cauldron… - Try an acceleration card or two - you need to be moving at least one bottle a tick. Thermal ducts, mekanism, and i think there is another. When i connected some bonsais with a filling cabinet and tried to pull the apples out with item cable from Cyclic ( i don't really know the name) it didn't work. So I've got the cyclic item pipes attached to an item extraction cable which is attached to a hopping bonsai with a sapling in. You might want to change that - using TE pipes in my old setup ate my TPS completely. I set a filter to only allow Apples to go though (automate biofuel) into the crushing (with correct input) and the pipe is not drawing. Ah yeah, that was the one that lets you automate the lava cauldrons. I forget the name of the extractor bit, but it uses transfer pipes as an ingredient. Welcome to the Ender 3 community, a specialized subreddit for all users of the Ender 3 3D printer. Openblocks tanks hold a ton, 16 buckets or so per block, for relatively cheap, just glass and obsidian. And now I'm adding Item Extraction Cables to the chests, using Item Cables to pipe the items to the crates. (Bring back enderio conduits amirite). I just use the standard item interface (no import/export, no filters) and they will funnel directly out of the hopper bonsais into the pipes. One bucket of water effectively gives you 4,096 items in the form of bits. Share Pretty much a member of the FTB staff helps manage the pack and makes suggestions, but the final decisions come from whoever came up with the pack in the first place. The modpack Cyclic has an item called a Trash Void which you can use to pipe items into that you don't want. The cyclic pipes work fine with them because they actively pull power. I had the same issue with thermal flux ducts. Things will sort first come first match as the items slide through the pipe when if everything is full or there is no match it gets trashed. Because the mekanism fluid pipes were taken out I just use Integrated Dynamics as my pipes. Unfortunately it's one number for all the items in the list, so if you set for 30, it will stop putting resin in if there is 30 or more in there. You pump water in and then you can pipe out bits as items. Now I'm trying to prevent the cables from connecting to each other, but seem unable to 'wrench' them using any of the hammers/wrenches included in the pack. Autoclick cobble into an ex nihilo cauldron over a torch (it's instant in sky factory 4 instead of most ex nihilo) then pipe the lava into the generator. If you use more than you have the angel ring and generators won't work. Perhaps concern about lag, but they added mods like MatterOverdrive, Cyclic, and Bonsai Trees so who the hell actually knows. The pipes are connected to each other so if one pulls iron out it flows out each pipe. Then you can progress to the coal dupe loop with (edit: mechanical squeezers) and I think it's compactors? Sky Factory 4 has channels disabled on AE2 which make it functionally the same as Refined Storage. The two pipes under the chest carry acorns and resins seperately into the packager. I just wanted to show how I got around these stupid interactions with pipes. The chest pipes out of the compact machine with a cyclic item extraction cable, which is basically a cheaper translocator. I was messing about and testing Cyclic pipes only to notice they are not working. Break the block and the pipe with suck it up everytime it generates. listen, i dont want to have to learn programming to use this goddamn mod, what i want to do, is just place like a line of generators, and then connect those to an energy battery, and have them transfer energy, but just connecting it using the logic pipes doesnt work, and i have no idea how the import/export things are supposed to work, so please help me. Cyclic pipes will work, but cyclic pipes seem to function both as a buffer AND a router and do the job poorly resulting in much of your lava being either stuck in the pipe or seemingly voided. It might take a bit of learning (I recommend playing around with them in a creative world) but itemducts will end up everywhere in your base. There's also an extra pipe at the bottom that leads to a Trash Can, for the garbage. Switching the pipes for Simple Storage item importers fixed the issue. Use one that is at least Reinforced tier. Smeltery can accept normal pipes and be treated like any other tank for the purposes of outputing fluids. 4 years out of date, but I was playing sky factory 4, and noticed there weren't many tutorials out for an auto ingot machine. The Cyclic cables are very dumb, if there's no room for the item it has in the storage it's reached it'll just stop and sit there, blocking the whole pipe. There is probably more methods but atleast you can do it with these methods Hi there, I've been trying to hook up a water source to this thing for a while now. You can use ender io transfer pipes. Automate production of the glowing chorus fruit (adds 5 mins of creative flight per chorus fruit), and eat a few stacks very quickly with the gluttony charm (allows for fast eating). Pipe it into a gas canister from the same mod, use a gauge dropper into the same or click the circle next to Idle on that side to set it to ‘Dump Excess’ which will keep it at the mid point but constantly run the machine so long as the oxygen side doesn’t fill. One question: > The wood from this alone generates approximately 600RF/t constantly How do you measure your RF/T generation? None of the generators from that mod seem to show it, or mention rates in JEI (they give total RF for fuel items, but not RF/t). Connect pipes to the enter chest and the hopping bonsai plant’s chest to automate the item transfer fully. If you’re asking about the hydrogen, you can do several things. Item Translocators are very good if your setup can use them. This results in almost exactly 4 buckets of lava generated whenever the tank is at 60/64 buckets. If I hook up just a few trees (like 1-12) at a time, it works like a charm: all items are pulled into itemducts and routed to a series of 3 Shipping Containers that have crates in them with ample space to store the tree byproducts. It seems there's supposed to be "Universal Cables" in mekanism, but I can't craft them. It's a barrel with an infinite water source feeding into it (either fluid hopper or fluid pipe, both pretty easy to get), then a hopper or item pipe out to a chest. Attach it to a filing cabinet with the fluid upgrade and a water folder for virtually infinite storage. 12, Sky Factory 3, Hermitpack, etc. And yes, you can get items stuck in them if you've got nowhere for them to go. put the folders inside the cabinet once they are assigned to the correct item, and put the hopping bonsai on top with some sort of mulch and the iron sapling. I've built a busy Industrial park with lots of wires pipes and tubes all around. So I’ve been working on expanding my SSN and I’ve got everything working, but every once in awhile if I wanted to add on another chest/pipe route I have some trouble. Sky Factory 4 I wanted to use auto-packager to craft ambers automatically but whenever i put item in via pipes it just puts the first item on the filter rather than randomly. Looks like they've disabled the mekanism pipes, except for gas/heat. The automated user needs power though so you have to route the power from the geothermal back into the user. To get it just put water mills next to the 2n block of water on 4 sides to 16 GP I used 4 in each, but in some (not all) one died. 15 votes, 15 comments. The top is for accessing the slot for items you want to cook, the sides (all 4 sides) are for accessing the fuel slot, and the bottom is for accessing the done cooking slot. When we placed the bonsai with trees directly on storage cabinets with files only for the specific tree droppings the lag is way less and we can even play Air charms are perfect for early game flight. You can either throw them into the filing cabinets directly or use item interfaces and cable from integrated dynamics. I tried with thermal foundation nothing. Pipe it into a experience Pylon from Cyclic and you can collect it there both just getting it or as orbs or pipe into a singularity tank from mob_grinding_utils and use a XP tap from the same mod to take XP out of it. {Sky Factory 4] Competing water extraction methods At some point in this pack (as well as in vanilla Minecraft), you're gonna want an infinite water source. Use the wrench and click the middle of the pipe to remove their connection. 0. But overall, I'm really enjoying Sky Factory 4. (I dont want to have an extra space between them since i have 35 going) I am hooking them up with Itemduct pipes to move the items from Cabinet to Smetler. I even tried it with both a wooden and iron cauldrons. You guys happen to know how ssundee made his automated bonsai tree farm in around episode 4-6 in sky factory 4(the one without crainer)? And I am talking about the ones with the filing cabinets not the ones with the vanilla chests. Are there anything like transfer nodes and pipes in sky factory 4? Item extraction / cable is a neat one works fast too. I assume exact involvement varies based on the situation. Also Liquid Translocators if 1000mB/t is fast enough. Pretty much what the title says. 8 and there are no fluid pipes in this version that work with the prc to input water into it. Under the cabinet I used thermal dynamics pipes with retrievers to only pull out 1 stack of resin and acorn and put it in a cyclic autocrafter to craft amber. Right now I am building ancient Rome. For pumping water into the stone barrels, you can use transport pipes with a transfer node (liquids) or EnderIO fluid conduits (pressurized if you're sending water up or care about speed). Hey , whats a good way of transporting items and fluids ? ive just finished page 1 of advancements and started work on hopping bonsais tree farms , after those are done i wanna automate lava for power and a smeltery , as well as filtering the stuff out of the chests for the bonsai and into barrels, i was thinking of using the TE pipes but dont My first time playing sky factory, and trying to make this smelter, but controller won't work. Show off your latest creations or get advice on a problem. This will let you set how many of a given item can be in the crafter. You could also have the tree output to item pipes, then have a chest with a filter for each item on the pipe with a trash can in the end. Integrated Dynamics/Tunnels is a necessary evil for longer runs of fluid pipes (avoid using them for big systems). so any help on this would be appreciated on how to use a fluid extractor or if theres some video that explains how to play this very confusing game mode that were on get enough iron to make a hopper for a hopping bonsai and a filing cabinet. So I am setting up a network of bonsai, cabinets and smelters but because their so close to eachother. It works, but not well. . So it took a long time for the item to find the proper storage. Then you kickstart it by putting some cobble into the cauldron manually. maybe using a different border block would have avoided that. Depending on how you have things set up you could either: If you have all your items going into separate inventories for each item, like drawers, set the priority of the trash can to - 1 or lower. I use filing cabinets attached to my simple storage network for things I have lots of, mainly my hopping bonsai farm, but other stuff too, the file folders have infinite inventory but only of one item type each, I think each filing cabinet holds 8 file fders, not worth untill you have storage request table though, too much of a pain to get its out of the system. Mechanical Pipes, for some reason, are disabled. The compact machine then pipes to the row of shipping crates with a cyclic cable, and to a trash can at the end which catches the overflow from the crates. For example, if your tanks are full the cauldron will still remain empty no matter how much cobblestone you add to the cauldron. The gbg can in some packs produce 70k rf/t at least, not sure about the nether star one but zhe gbg has the added bonus that it only produces the specific amount of energy used, so it will only make 10rf/t if that is all you need and only burns the amount fuel needed to produce that much, also one fuel setup for gbg can produce enough ethylene for 3 or more generators and is both simple to set The subreddit for all things related to Modded Minecraft for Minecraft Java Edition --- This subreddit was originally created for discussion around the FTB launcher and its modpacks but has since grown to encompass all aspects of modding the Java edition of Minecraft. This is not my first problem with Cyclic pipes, I just don't understand how they work, and I haven't found any help about them. If you want to do any sort of filtering, you need to pipe it into a thermal pipe with a filter and then have the thermal pipe output back into a cyclic pipe. - as always, the lava needs someplace to go… how that happens depends on your plumbing. It can be upgraded with Speed and Energy upgrades and has tiers that increase the amount of slots. This makes it so the pipes try to put the items in every other inventory before trying the trash can. Any ideas what I am doing wrong? I have the block version of an AE ME Interface with the pattern on the condensator wrenched to point at it and pipes extracting full buckets back into the interface. You have to jump on it a few times until it's pressed all the way down. This may have been overkill - I'm sure 1 or 2 would have done the job. Upgrade everything to elite and have item pipes coming in/out of everything. You can also use Ender tanks, they're Ender chests for fluid. I need 1 prestige point to automate bonsai collection, and it seems that going with a single parabox cycle should be easy enough. for me, some Fluids don't interact with my ingot formers (resonant ender, destabilized Redstone, and liquid Seared Stone) also, I recommend looking into fission and fusion from nuclearcraft, it produces a lot of A subreddit dedicated to the ancient art of blacksmithing. Ive been looking around on the marketplace on bedrock and noticed there are modpacks springing up. It basically pulls from an appropriate inventory that it's attached to and pushes it into connected pipe(s). I think the Tier 4 Cobblestone Generators are faster than this (maybe even tier 3), but there's a very fast cobble generator you can build almost immediately. I then read the amount of lava in a cyclic tank with integrated dynamics and sent a redstone signal to the dropper whenever the tank is missing at least 4 buckets of lava. I find they work best 1:1, out of one chest/container and into another. So I've got all the saplings in an array of bonsai hoppers > chest > item duct with servo. Thermal Dynamics is bad because it's keeping track of where the items are in the pipes. Attach ae2 to the shipping container via storage bus. Also I've had a lot of issues with compatibility between mods, some items just not working with each other and Mekanism (The main source of factory in SkyFactory ) has some serious issue and feels completely unfinished in this pack, i've spent a couple hours building machines solely from the Mekanism Pack yet i've hit a dead end as the pack The subreddit for all things related to Modded Minecraft for Minecraft Java Edition --- This subreddit was originally created for discussion around the FTB launcher and its modpacks but has since grown to encompass all aspects of modding the Java edition of Minecraft. Something that a lot of these tutorials miss (except for maybe onlydraven) is that 1, you don't need fenses for each block if you just use 1 pig per block, they will stay stuck on the block unless you push them hard and 2, using a single controlled miner and item collector with black lists is much more efficient than using a single breaker and hopper for each block. The best part is you can have all the output from a single side of the mixed chest, connect all the pipes, and the items will only be sent where they can go. I don't know if the modpack changed the recipe and JEI just isn't showing the proper one, or if anything beyond a Hardened Fluxduct isn't supposed to be craftable, but I just can't craft them. there where some players that connected pipes from the bonsai pots in mass storage but the pipes where connected in a grid. Posted by u/BlakB0x - 3 votes and 1 comment After that, you can pipe the stuff out of the smeltery using fluiducts and servos, and send it directly into a casting basin with a hopper underneath. Also, send the useless stuff like leaves, sticks, and saplings to a trash can, or throw it into a gravitational anomaly, or simply burn it for power idk. I've tried water cables, fluid ducts, hooking up a infinite water source block directly to the back of it, but no matter what I do, the PRC won't receive the water. Use glowstone dust on outputs. I want to be able to make it transfer only a full stack of items (or only 64 items, if that is easier) so the transfer pipes aren't working constantly with small amounts, but rather work from time to time but transfer a lot of items at once. Very carefully filtered storage buses on trash cans so that things go directly to trash. It was then output in the normal way, if you want to add stuff other than cobble just link a packager to a tree farm then to the smelter. Just beware that you may need more storage than what you have currently and may need to add some down the line. First option, pipe directly from your bonsai network into a tunnel, pipe from the outside of the corresponding side of the compact machine into an interface, no need for servos or retrievers anywhere. If you have EnderIO fluid pipes, then you can put a filter for just the milk. There's a bug that the water one won't take transfer cards so you have to pipe full buckets back out, but the lava fab takes a push card to eject full buckets out 1 side. It makes it fill with only 1 item instead of both acorn and resin. Output farms directly to shipping containers using pipes of your choosing, sending unwanted items to a cyclic trash can. The integrated tunnels are very confusing and I can't find a decent tutorial, the item ducts seem very slow and also don't work all the time, and I'm not sure if there are any other forms of item transport. Most of them are from FTB but there are others too, many of which are adaptions of java modpacks. Yup. Second option, pipe the items into an inventory (a chest) and place it next to a tunnel. you will also need something like AE2 or simple storage network to access the items in the Put a "filter" from thermal on the destination end of the pipe, against the crafter. I think it might have been more connected with the position of the piglet when it grows up, actually - a lot of them I saw were standing "inside" the fence almost and maybe when they grow up it places them in that block and kills them by suffocation. i recommend 3 folders. You can cut off north, south, east and west connections and connect three pipes next to each other without them transferring item between them. So if the power source isn't pushing, Flux networks doesn't receive anything. And the fact that the drops are randomized makes it harder, or else I could make a redstone timer and do it like that. As the other guys said, Energized Smelter is probably the best early-midgame option. if youre trying to automate some more complicated things that take a bit more than that like trying to automate hdpe pellets then id say use itemducts bc you have a lot more control over them. Immersive engineering also has pipes if you want to go that way, although I've not checked if they work with ex nihilo barrels. Then the fluid pipe extracts the lava and puts it into the geo thermal generator. Or check it out in the app stores They'll work for a little bit when you set up all the pipes, but Not to mention, if I remember correctly, a filter requires a servo and a filter, whereas a retreiver only requires the pipe it is on to be connected to the storage it needs to pull from. It seems to be able to insert as many items as exist on the conveyor, and trying to get items faster than this onto the conveyor was a pain, so I stopped further testing. I never did figure out how to use simple storage processing pipes for automating some of these processes and make a janky setup with hoppers instead.
